“有一种更深刻的世界的陌生感，哪怕历史上最壮观的地震也没有对它产生任何改变。它深入存在的本质并对现象巨大的漂浮景象产生影响。‘一切都在动’是漱石比下一个人物的结束语。平静地，现实开始振动，它只是让面对运动的目光看到错愕，这一运动非常缓慢、几乎不可觉察，也正是通过它，生命的形式慢慢消解。世界还在原来的位置，但它疯狂的静止给了它一个巨大的平静的虚空外表，不可能真正去相信，时间看不见的巨大沙漏中流失的沙子，手中没有留下任何东西，除了它引起的错愕。没必要到别处去寻找。漱石的秘密就在于这一种错愕。它也是我们的错愕。”

秋季，不约而同迎来生日。有人过了三十，有人到达二十七，有人奔四。这些人的生日，心情不是喜悦的，都感觉到了年岁的压力。于是有人喝酒，有人闲坐，有人自律，有人哭泣。我们与世界的关系，什么时候变得，老是这样处在一种紧张的对峙当中？

现实世界交织累加的种种烦忧在一个设定为纪念的日子里如当头的雨水浇下，加剧了你我的狼狈；人群迅速褪去，他们只是幻觉。知道终点意义的人，此时回头一顾，撞见的便是南墙。原来前方即是后方，记忆即未来，任一生命，不由自主的移动之际，强硬的世界亦如影随形。

我们理解不了它。我理解不了它。我曾经设想，它因我而存在，因我而消灭。那是我的不勇敢。不勇敢者需要唯心主义的借口——唯物主义者和实用主义者打心眼里认为并鄙视之。如果说肉身之消灭是与这不可理喻之世界的唯一和解方式，那么我们的存在，还需要那么多借口干什么。

这是生日。那么多人在跑道的尽头摇旗呐喊指示你终点就在前方，气喘吁吁的你跑到半途，发现这根本就是一条错误的线索，绳头处只有乱结。半途人生，记事的瞬息，回头可见的，不过是一系列奔跑的叠影，以及奔跑中仓皇的身形、睁大的眼睛、眼睛中茫然无措的眼神。
